Friendship

There is laughter there is  fun
When you meet friends n just pun
A feeling of satifaction a life lived well
Sharing joy and sorrow with abandon as well
A true friend is for a life time
Standing like a rock in hard times
You cannot choose neighbors or relatives
Yet have a choice of friends that are superlative
A good friend is a lustrous gem
As  time flies greater sheen it spells

  14. Friendships are very close to my heart. Being a latchkey child and having lived away from home for more than 7 years now, friends are an integral part of my life. I've come across all kinds of friends - with time, I've learnt to distinguish between the real and the fake ones too....Life is a beautiful journey especially when you have some wonderful persons to not just share but also join you in that experience :-)

    1. Those friends are a friend indeed and they are just as or even more important! This reminds me of an Army officers wife who once said she finds running the house difficult when the orderly is not around:)

  26. It's a good thing we can choose our friends.
True -- the older a friendship the more precious it gets. That reminds me of a line I read somewhere, about friendship being like wine; the more it matures, the better it gets. :)
Poems and stories on this subject are always endearing. :)
